July 30th marks roughly 100 days until the 2018-19 season tipoff for the 100th season of WKU Hilltopper Basketball, and over the next 100 days, WKU Athletics will treat fans to unique moments and interesting history from Hilltopper Basketball, all leading up to the start of the season in November.
DAY 30 (October 7) |

DAY 29 (October 8) |
After retiring in 1964, E.A. Diddle was still a prominent figure in WKU Basketball. In 1965, Diddle traveled with the team to the NIT in New York City where the Hilltoppers helped him celebrate his 70th birthday. |

DAY 28 (October 9) |
WKU Basketball's fan base traveled well with the Hilltoppers along their journey to the NCAA Final Four in 1971. |

DAY 27 (October 10) |
Current WKU Head Coach Rick Stansbury was hired as the 15th head men's basketball coach on March 28, 2016. Stansbury has notched 335 career wins between his 14 seasons at Mississippi State and his two at WKU. |

DAY 26 (October 11) |
In honor of WKU Pro Day, Clem Haskins previously held the title of longest tenured Hilltopper in the NBA, playing for nine seasons. Courtney Lee just surpassed Haskins' record after completing his 10th season in the league last year. |

DAY 25 (October 12) |
Former WKU President Henry Hardin Cherry congratulates E.A. Diddle on the basketball program's first 20-win season following the 1933-34 campaign. The Hilltoppers posted a record of 28-8 that year, becoming the first squad to ever win 20 or more victories, as well as the first to play over 27 games in a single season. Since 1933-34, WKU Basketball has strung together a total of 44 20-win seasons. |

DAY 24 (October 13) |
A crowd awaits the presentation of trophies after the Hilltoppers won the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship in 1941. WKU's road to winning the title in Bowling Green included defeating Delta State, Louisiana Normal and Murray State. |

DAY 23 (October 14) |
Darnell Mee, Bryan Brown, Chris Robinson and Derek Flowers take a moment to regroup in a game. The 1992-93 Hilltoppers went on to compete in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 before losing to No. 11 Florida State in overtime. Mee led WKU that season, averaging 18.9 points per game. |

DAY 22 (October 15) |
Hilltopper basketball legend Jim McDaniels cradles the 1971 NCAA Tournament Midwest Regional trophy. On its way to the regional championship game, WKU narrowly defeated Jacksonville 74-72 and rolled past Kentucky 107-83. The Hilltoppers fought off Ohio State in overtime, winning the game and the trophy 81-78. |

DAY 21 (October 16) |
Clem Haskins suffered an injury on Feb. 6, 1967, when the Hilltoppers defeated Murray State 88-79 at home. He went up for a rebound and got knocked to the floor right under the basket, breaking a bone in his right wrist. He sat out five games before returning to action, with his wrist and forearm heavily taped, to play against Austin Peay at home on Feb. 27. Haskins scored 16 points and notched eight rebounds with his injured arm. |
