TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — WKU's Billy Tom Sargent hit his stride in Sunday's final round of Florida State's Seminole Intercollegiate with a season-low 67.

The redshirt junior's 5-under 67 was the lowest round of the day at the par-72, 6,965-yard Golden Eagle Country Club, as well as the second-lowest single-round score of the entire tournament. He registered six birdies against just one bogey.

Sargent improved drastically across each round and finished tied for 26th with a 218 (78-73-67) total. Sunday's finale was two shots off his career low and was his sixth round of 69 or better this season.

WKU finished 13th as a team with a 904 (296-302-306) tally. The host Seminoles won the crown at 844.

Redshirt sophomore Linus Lo tied for 41st for WKU with a 224 (74-73-77) total, while junior Stuart Easton tied for 43rd at 225 (70-75-80).

Junior Blake Smith carded a 238 (75-81-82) across the three rounds, and freshman Chase Landrum finished at 243 (77-82-84).

WKU is back in action this month at the Border Olympics, hosted by Houston on March 9-10 in Laredo, Texas.
