BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - For the final time this regular season, the WKU women's swimming and diving team will hit the water for a dual meet at fellow Conference USA-foe Marshall on Saturday, Jan. 31 at noon CT.
It will be the final preparations in a competitive setting before the team heads to the C-USA Championships on Feb. 18-21 in Knoxville, Tenn., as the Lady Toppers will look to improve on its fourth-place finish from a year ago and earn its 10th league title in program history.
The women are coming off dominating wins over the University of the Cumberlands and Cincinnati last weekend, moving the Lady Toppers to a perfect 6-0 on the year in dual meets. In the victory over Cincinnati, WKU broke four pool records, including Michelle Craddock in the 100 free at 50.82 and with her 200 free relay squad with a time of 1:33.76. Craddock was named this week's C-USA Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her career while it was the third time a Lady Topper was honored this season.
After Saturday, the only event left on WKU's regular-season calendar is the diving team heading to Tennessee to compete on platform, an event the team will see at the league meet. The diving event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. CT.
