BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The WKU swimming and diving team had a positive fall semester in the water and had just as strong a semester in the classroom, as 24 student-athletes earned academic honors from WKU.
The team had 11 Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers named to the President's List for GPAs of 3.8 or above. Included in that is Chris Goodman, Harrison Griffin, Newell Hicks, Daniel McGee, Davis Ranburger and Fabian Schwingenschlogl from the men's side while Claire Conlon, Nadine Laemmler, Susan Marquess, Mollie McNeel and Andrea VanderMey earned the honor from the women's team.
The Lady Toppers held a fall GPA of 3.17 with 18 student-athletes notching a GPA of 3.0 or above. The men's squad tabbed a 2.96 semester GPA with 16 earning a 3.0 or better GPA. The women now carry a 3.25 cumulative GPA while the men sport a 3.02 GPA.
The team returns to Bowling Green for a meet against University of the Cumberlands and Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 23 followed by Cincinnati on Jan. 24. Both meets take place at Bill Powell Natatorium and will be the last ones on The Hill for the year.
