IRVINE, Calif. - Former WKU swimmer and Olympic gold medalist Claire Donahue qualified for the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships and the World Championships in the 100 fly on Friday at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships.
Donahue completed the final event in 58.03, good for a second-place finish. Kendyl Stewart's time of 57.98 won the event. Donahue took the top spot in the prelims after stopping the clock in 58.25.
Rising seniors Tj Bland and Tyler Groneck each set personal bests in their respective events, as Bland went 29.17 in the 50 breast and Groneck finished the 100 fly in 55.58.
