AUSTIN, Texas - Western Kentucky University swimmer Fabian Schwingenschlogl wrapped up the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships with a 20th-place finish in the 200 breast on Saturday at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center on the campus of the University of Texas.
Schwingenschlogl placed 20th after hitting 1:55.13 in Saturday's prelims, just missing the cut to attend the night's finals. Arizona's Kevin Cordes would win the 200 breast with a time of 1:48.66 for an American record.
The newcomer became WKU's first All-American since gold-medal Olympian Claire Donahue in 2011 after he finished eighth in the 100 breast on Friday. He also led WKU to a Conference USA title after helping WKU's point total with three individual wins on his way to being named Male Swimmer of the Meet.
