- WKU improves to 15-8 on the season, including a 7-5 mark in Sun Belt Conference play. Troy is now 8-14 on the season with a 4-7 mark in league play.
- WKU is now 16-1 all-time against Troy, having won the last 10 meetings between the teams.

- WKU is now 9-0 all-time against Troy in Bowling Green, Ky.
- WKU has posted a regular season sweep of the Trojans in each of the last five seasons.
- WKU returns to action in E.A. Diddle Arena on Saturday afternoon when the Lady Toppers host South Alabama at 2:00 p.m. CT. It is National Girls and Women in Sports Day in E.A. Diddle Arena with several events and presentations planned to mark the festivities. The first 500 fans at the game will receive a free pom-pom.

- Among the planned presentations is a halftime recognition including individuals involved in the 40th anniversary of the rebirth of women's athletics at WKU. Among the individuals expected to be present are coach Betty Langley (tennis and golf), coach Ray Rose (gymnastics), Mary Blair (basketball), Brenda Chapman Strickler (tennis), Lee Davis (golf), Glenda Goff (basketball), Pam Moody Herriford (tennis, track and field), Toni Nedrow Dickens (track and field), Bonnie Owens (basketball), Jamie Sparks Goins (gymnastics), Patty Sue Sutherland (basketball) and Karen Watson Ray (track and field).
- The game is also Big Red Rascal's Day and Daddy/Daughter Date Night. All members of Big Red's Rascals will receive a complimentary reserved ticket to the game and all friends and family may purchase additional tickets for just $5 each. All Father/Daughter couples will receive complimentary entry into the game and will be able sign up to participate in in-game contest for prizes.

- WKU's 52 points in the first half were a new record for the first half of a game during the Michelle Clark-Heard era.

- It was the fifth time that WKU has scored at least 50 in a single half during the Clark-Heard era, including three against Troy.
- WKU held Troy's Joanna Harden, the nation's fourth leading scorer entering the game at 25.4 points per game, without a field goal in the opening half. Harden finished the first half with two points in 19 minutes on 2-of-2 shooting from the free throw line. Her first field goal came with 19:36 left in the game after WKU had built a 53-21 lead.
- WKU used the starting lineup of Bianca McGee, Chastity Gooch, Jalynn McClain, Micah Jones and Kendall Noble.

- It was the second time this lineup has been used this season and first time since Jan. 1, 2014.

- WKU improved to 13-0 under Michelle Clark-Heard when scoring at least 80 points.
- WKU improved to 30-4 under Michelle Clark-Heard when leading at halftime and 33-5 when leading with 5:00 remaining in the game.
- WKU is now 18-8 in E.A. Diddle Arena under Michelle Clark-Heard, including an 8-3 mark this season.

Individual Notes
- Redshirt freshman Kendall Noble had 26 points, one off of her career high. She finished 9-of-18 from the field.

- Noble has scored in double figures in four straight games, the best streak of her career, and has reached the 20-point mark in two of her last three outings.
- Noble has scored at last 26 in two of WKU's last three games.
- Noble had 14 points in 16 minutes at halftime, hitting 6-of-10 shots from the field.
- Junior forward and All-America candidate Chastity Gooch had 22 points and nine rebounds.

- Gooch had her 20th double figure scoring game of the season and 55th of her career. She also had her 19th career 20-point game and ninth of the season.
- Gooch has scored at least 21 points in each of her last four games against Troy.
- Gooch had 16 points in 14 minutes at halftime, hitting 5-of-11 shots from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
- Sophomore guard Micah Jones had 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field.

- Junior guard and All-America candidate Alexis Govan missed her 12th consecutive game with a stress fracture in her left tibia. Her last appearance came on Dec. 21, 2013 against Georgetown in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
