- WKU used the lineup of Chastity Gooch, Chanell Lockhart, Micah Jones, Bianca McGee and Jalynn McClain for the first time this season. It is the eighth consecutive game that WKU has used a different lineup.
- WKU had four players record new career highs in the game in Chastity Gooch (30), Micah Jones (20), Kendall Noble (12) and Chanell Lockhart (10).
- WKU's 51 points in the first half were the most scored by the Lady Toppers in the first half of a game during the Michelle Clark-Heard era.

- It was the fourth time in the Clark-Heard era that WKU has scored 50 points or more in a half and the second time it has been achieved against Troy over the last two seasons.
- WKU limited Troy to 69 points in the game. It was the third lowest output by the Trojans this year after No. 3 Tennessee held them to 64 points and Jacksonville held the Trojans to 67 points.
- The game was the final in a stretch of games that saw WKU play 7-of-10 games away from home. The stretch saw WKU post a 2-0 record in San Juan, Puerto Rico as WKU defeated both Belmont and Georgetown during the 2013 Puerto Rico Classic.
- WKU had two runs of 8-0 or better in the first half, including a 9-0 run to open the game.
- WKU had 13 assists in the first half. The team hadn't had more than 14 in a game in last three outings.
- With Gooch and Jones both reaching 20 points, WKU had two players reach the 20-point mark for the first time since Feb. 9, 2013 when Gooch had 20 points and Govan had 23 points.
