- WKU improves to 12-5 on the season with a 4-2 mark in league play. ULM is now 7-11 on the season, including a 3-3 mark on the year.
- WKU leads the all-time series 14-4 and have won four straight in the series.

- The matchup saw two teams that reached the 1985 Final Four face off. The 1985 appearance in the Final Four was the first of three for WKU in the program's history.

- Junior forward and All-America candidate Chastity Gooch had a career high 31 points on a record-setting night.

- Gooch hit 12-of-21 shots and 6-of-8 from the foul line while grabbing seven rebounds in 39 minuts.

- Gooch picked up her second foul with 12:45 remaining in the first half. She then played 16:09 of game time before picking up her third foul with 15:41 left in the second half.
- Gooch reached the 1,000 point mark for her career in the contest, becoming the 35th member of the school's 1,000 point club. She scored the basket that put her at 1,000 points for her career with 2:33 left in the first half to cut the deficit to three at 32-29.
- Gooch reached the 1,000 point mark in her 80th career game in a WKU uniform. She becomes one of 11 players in program history to reach the 1,000 point mark in 80 games or less in a WKU uniform.
- Gooch is the second WKU player to join the 1,000 point club this season as Alexis Govan reached the feat on Dec. 7, 2013. The last time that two players joined the club in the same season was in 2008-09 when Dominique Duck and Kenzie Rich both reached the mark in the same season.
- Gooch grabbed her 700th career rebound with 4:22 remaining in the first half on an offensive rebound off a miss by Chaney Means.
- Gooch has started 40 consecutive games for WKU, the longest active streak on the team. The streak encompasses the final 23 games of last season and the first 17 games of the 2013-14 season.
- Redshirt freshman Kendall Noble had a career high 20 points, hitting 7-of-10 shots in the game. She was 2-of-2 from behind the three-point arc and hit 4-of-5 from the free throw line.

- Noble's stepback three-point field goal with 1:25 left gave WKU a 72-68 lead late in the game.
- Noble added career highs in rebounds with eight (tied for career best) and assists with seven.
- Sophomore guard Micah Jones had eight points.

- Jones made her 50th career appearance in a WKU uniform. She has started 49-of-50 appearances in a WKU uniform.
- Junior forward Chanell Lockhart had 10 points, posting her second career game in double figures.
- Junior guard and All-America candidate Alexis Govan missed her sixth consecutive game with a stress fracture in her left tibia. Her last appearance came on Dec. 21, 2013 against Georgetown in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
