BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- The WKU women's golf program has added one event to their spring 2014 schedule as head coach Ron Burchett announced details for the inaugural Lady Topper Classic on Friday.
The event will be played at the Bowling Green Country Club over three days, March 30 to April 1. Bowling Green Country Club is one of Kentucky's oldest and most respected private clubs.
The award winning David Pfaff-designed course is immaculately maintained, highlighted by a gentle rolling layout that offers winding fairways narrowed by an assortment of mature trees. Perfectly textured greens combined with ample bunkering keep the par of 72 an elusive target.
WKU will host Northern Kentucky, Austin Peay, Tennessee State, Eastern Illinois and Dayton in the 54-hole stroke play college-am event.
A shotgun practice round on Sunday, March 30 will lead into a 36-hole day on Monday, March 31 with the final 18 holes to be played on Tuesday, April 1.
