- WKU improved to 2-1 on the while handing Murray State their first loss of the season (2-1).
- WKU won its 14th consecutive game against Murray State and lead the series 35-10.
- The Lady Toppers return home on Wednesday, Nov. 27 to face fifth-ranked Louisville in E.A. Diddle Arena. The Cardinals are coached by former WKU assistant Jeff Walz. The game has been labeled as a "White Out," with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free shirt commemorating the event. The matchup with the Cards will likely be WKU's first game against a top-five opponent since third-ranked North Carolina on Dec. 20, 2007 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. It also will mark the first time since March 11, 2000 that WKU has welcomed a team that reached the Final Four in the previous season to E.A. Diddle Arena. All-time, WKU has hosted 12 teams that played in the Final Four the previous season and played 32 games against teams that had reached the Final Four the previous season. Centerplate will also offer a Hilltopper Express Deal at the game, allowing fans to purchase one hot dog, one bag of chips and one bottle of Coca-Cola for just $7. In addition, coats for area children will be collected at the game in conjunction with the Bowling Green Jr. Women's Club Coats for Kids Drive. Coats will be donated to children in Bowling Green as part of the WKU Hilltoppers With Heart program.
Team Notes
- WKU has scored at least 80 points in two of three games to start the season. It is the first time a WKU team has achieved that feat since 2005-06 when WKU reached the plateau in each of the first three games of the season.
- WKU tied the Michelle Clark-Heard era record for points in the first half of play, scoring 45 today. WKU scored 45 points in the first half of play twice last season, both coming in games against Troy.
- It marked the seventh time during the Clark-Heard era that WKU has scored at least 45 points in a single half.
- WKU posted its first double-digit point run during the second half, scoring 10 consecutive points to extend a 59-45 lead to 69-45 following a Govan free throw with 9:20 left in the game.
- WKU improved to 20-3 during the Clark-Heard era when leading at the half.
- WKU is now 15-2 under Clark-Heard when committing 12 or fewer turnovers.
Individual Notes
- Junior Chastity Gooch had 24 points and 12 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season and 27th of her career.
- Gooch recorded her 37th career double figure game in points.
- Gooch had her 34th career double figure rebounding game.
- Gooch recorded her 11th career 20-point game and first of the 2013-14 season.
- Junior Alexis Govan had 14 points and six rebounds.
- Govan has scored in double figures in 39 consecutive games, the fourth longest WKU streak since the start of the 2000-01 season.
- Govan has started 44 consecutive games, the longest active streak on the team. She started the final nine games of the 2011-12 season and every game of the 2012-13 season. She has 53 career starts to her credit.
- Sophomore Jalynn McClain had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the game.
- McClain reached double figures on the boards for the second time in her career.
- McClain had her second career double-double and first of the 2013-14 season.
- McClain made her 19th career start and her 36th appearance in a game in her career.
- Sophomore guard Micah Jones had 16 points, hitting 6-of-8 shots from the field.
- Jones made her 35th career start.
- Redshirt freshman guard Kendall Noble made her E.A. Diddle Arena debut as a collegiate player.
