BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Following a 2-0 start to Sun Belt Conference play last weekend, the WKU soccer team hits the road for San Marcos, Texas to take on first-time league foe Texas State at the Bobcat Soccer Complex Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT).
WKU and Texas State will meet for the first time with plenty at stake in the Sun Belt Conference standings as the Lady Toppers and Lady Bobcats currently sit at first and second in the league standings with six and four points, respectively.

The Lady Toppers opened conference play with a pair of 2-0 victories over ULM and Louisiana-Lafayette and are aiming to start league play with three-consecutive shutouts for the second-straight season. Senior goalkeeper Nora Abolins, who notched her second Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week award on Tuesday, has not allowed a goal in over 288 minutes in between the posts and currently leads the Sun Belt in goals against average (0.70), save percentage (.840) and shutouts (4).
WKU is finding its groove offensively after struggling to score goals early in the season, netting six scores in the past three games after scoring four goals in the previous eight games. Freshman forward Iris Dunn has spearheaded the Lady Toppers' attack, scoring three goals in the past four games. Senior midfielder Chrissy Tchoula has also been instrumental in the success of WKU's attack, dishing assists in three-straight contests.
