BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The WKU baseball team will wrap up fall practices with its annual Fall World Series at Nick Denes Field this weekend. First pitch times are slated for 4 p.m. (CT) on Thursday and Friday with an 11 a.m. finale on Saturday.
The Fall World Series is free and open to the public all three days. The three-game series will be an intrasquad scrimmage and will be fans' first chance to get a glimpse of the 2014 roster featuring nine freshmen and 17 newcomers overall.
The Hilltoppers return 19 players from a 2013 team that finished 28-29 overall and 16-14 in the Sun Belt Conference.
The Hilltoppers were divided into Red and Black teams in a draft on Tuesday.
RED TEAM: Sam Melchior, Jake Thompson, Ryan Messex, Scott Wilcox, Thomas Peter, Leiff Clarkson, Jackson Sowell, Trevor Lowe, Paul Murray, Anderson Miller, Harrison Scanlon, John Gastinger, Ryan Thurston, Tate Glasscock, Josh Bartley, Ty Downing, Cody Coll.
