COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Hilltopper golf team finished its final tournament before the Sun Belt Conference Championships in 15th place at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio State.
WKU shot a 942 as a team over three rounds and finished three strokes behind Eastern Michigan. Kent State won the tournament title with a three-round total of 898.
Cameron Beal finished tied for 35th with a 232, and Doug Kleeschulte was tied for 47th after carding a 236. Logan Edelen and Will Beard were tied for 57th and tied for 66th with a 238 and 241, respectively, and Andrew Heiser ended up tied for 73rd after shooting a 247 over three rounds.
Max Buckley of SMU won the individual title with a seven-over par 220.
The Hilltoppers are back in action April 23-25 at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
