BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- WKU's Jeremy Brown recently sat down with WKU swimming coach Bruce Marchionda for a question-and-answer session. Marchionda, who is in his ninth season at WKU, has led the Lady Topper and Hilltopper swimming and diving programs to a 91-11-1 record in six years as head coach.
The WKU swimming and diving programs each finished the regular season with a dual-meet record of 7-1 and are preparing for the 2011 Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 23-26, in Rockwall, Texas. The Lady Toppers and Hilltoppers swept the team titles in 2010.
The Lady Toppers will look to claim their fourth consecutive title and ninth in program history while the men can claim their second championship since 2007. Both the men's and women's teams are ranked seventh in the CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Division I Mid-Major Poll released Dec. 15, 2010.
