BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Former WKU swimmer Sean Penhale will represent his native Canada at the upcoming XIX Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India. The event runs Oct. 3-14, with the swimming events being held at the Dr. S. P. Mukherjee Aquatics Complex.
He will compete in the 400-meter freestyle, along with the 800 and 1,500 freestyle beginning Monday.
Penhale collected three top-20 finishes at the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, earning him the right to represent Canada at the Commonwealth Games.
The Calgary, Alberta native is one of 27 swimmers nominated to represent Canada.
