The quartet, comprised of Claire Donahue, Brittany Doss, Kristiana Feeser and Meredith Dement, posted a time of 4 minutes, 19.70 seconds on Friday's fourth day of the national championships.
"It was fun watching our girls mix it up with the best teams in the United States," WKU coach Bruce Marchionda said. "To score at the National Championships is a great step forward for our program."
Earlier in the week, Donahue picked up an eighth-place finish in the 100 butterfly, touching in at 59.28 in the "A" final.
