BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Just one day after defeating Tennessee Tech 3-0, the WKU softball team took on Evansville but were unable to complete the game due to severe weather in the Bowling Green area. After lightning struck near the WKU softball field in the top of the third inning, the game was suspended with no score. Following the lightening, rain forced the cancellation of the game.
WKU will take this weekend off before taking on UAB on Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT and 7 p.m. Following the contests against UAB, the Lady Toppers will host ULM in their first home Sun Belt series of the season. Action will begin on Friday at 5 p.m.
