Bowling Green, Ky. — Western Kentucky University women’s soccer coach Jason Neidell announced Wednesday that two vouchers, redeemable for any home women’s soccer match, will be given to each participant at the WKU Full Day soccer camp July 23-27.
The Day Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-12 years old and will run from 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. (CDT) each day. The WKU Soccer Camp is staffed by experienced instructors and WKU athletic training personnel. Neidell will serve as camp administrator, while assistants Grant Williams and Jenny Dalby will coordinate the daily soccer curriculum. Campers will also work directly with many of their favorite WKU soccer players.
The camp is designed to offer campers a rewarding learning experience in the game of soccer. Campers will be grouped according to age, experience, and ability. The camp will emphasize individual skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and heading. These techniques will be learned through individual and small group instruction, and will be reinforced through lively games and practices. Additional daily activities will include movies, team building exercises, complimentary lunch and snacks, and supervised free swim. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt, a WKU soccer bracelet, and two game vouchers for the upcoming season.
Brochures with registration forms, as well as on-line credit card registration, can be found on the women’s soccer home page at www.wkusports.com. Walk-up registration will also be conducted on Monday, July 23 from 8:30- 9a.m. at WKU’s L.T. Smith Stadium.
