The men come into the weekend at a perfect 5-0 on the season while the women are 4-1, with the only hiccup to Georgia Tech.
“The reason for the Hilltopper Invite is so that we have a chance to rehearse a three-day championship meet format,” head coach Bruce Marchionda said. “We do not want the Sun Belt Conference Championships to be the first time our swimmers see this format, and it gives us an opportunity to swim in a meet that holds prelims and finals.”
Other teams competing in the invite include Evansville, Missouri-Rolla and Vanderbilt.
The first final of the event is the men’s and women’s one-meter dive starting at 3:45 p.m. (CST) on Friday. Then beginning at 6:30, five finals will start including the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Medley Relay. The three individual finals are the 50-yard and 500-yard Free along with the 200 Individual Medley.
On Saturday, the women’s three-meter dive starts at 4:15 p.m. while the 200 Medley Relay, 800 Free Relay, 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast and 100 Back finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
Concluding the event on Sunday is the men’s three-meter dive at 1:15 p.m. The 100 and 1650 Free, 200 Back, Breast and Fly, and the 400 Free Relay starts at 4:30 p.m.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday and conclude around 7 p.m. on Sunday night.
