The Hilltoppers are in a tie for 21st place (13-over-par) — out of 27 teams — with Sun Belt Conference rival Denver at 589 strokes for two rounds of golf at the par 72, 7,200-yard Tucson National Golf Club.
Brent Long and Robby Shaw carded even-par rounds of 72 with Long being one-under-par for the tournament and in a tie for 48th place and Shaw stayed at three-over-par and in a tie for 81st place out of 141 athletes.
Parker Scarbro carded a three-over-par 75 and is five-over-par for the tournament. Justin Perry added a four-over-par 76 and is seven-over-par after 36 holes.
Troy Hawkins shot an six-over-par 78 and is eight-over-par after two rounds.
Arizona shot a team round of 15-under-par for the day and is in the lead at 24-under-par for the tournament. The Wildcats are ahead of North Carolina State and Florida by three strokes.
Utah’s Dustin Pimm, competing as an individualist, still leads the tournament after carding a four-under-par 68 and is 10-under for the tournament. He leads North Carolina State’s Nathan Spoon by one shot.
The Hilltoppers will tee off in the final round on Saturday at 2:59 p.m. (CDT).
