Bowling Green, Ky. - The Western Kentucky women's soccer team will take the field for the first time in 2001 this Saturday at 2 p.m. when they take on the Brentwood (Tenn.) U-17 Boy's team at the Lover's Lane Soccer Complex.
Saturday's match will be the first of three exhibitions for head coach Jason Neidell's Lady Toppers, who are playing their inaugural season this fall. Western will also host Tennessee-Martin on Saturday, Aug. 25, before playing its final tuneup at Xavier on Aug. 26.
WKU will open the regular season at Morehead State on August 31, and complete the weekend with the first home match in school history against IUPU-Fort Wayne on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at the WKU Soccer Complex.
