Williamsburg, Ky. - The Western Kentucky men's and women's swimming teams defeated Cumberland College Saturday (Dec. 8).
The women won eight of eleven events scoring 110 over Cumberland's 79. Alexis Rieck led the women winning the 100 and 200 freestyle.
The Western men scored 115 to CC's 64 and took ten of eleven events.
Coach Bill Powell took a mostly underclassmen team to Williamsburg where the freshmen dominated.
The men and the women will compete again January 3, 2002 at the Gulf Coast Invitational in Venice, Florida.
