Caty Llamas joined the WKU staff in the summer of 2024 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications/Media Relations.
In her role, Llamas works as the primary contact for women's volleyball and softball.
Prior to joining WKU, Llamas was part of the Regis University athletic communications staff in Denver, Colo. as a graduate assistant. She served as the primary contact for men's soccer, women's basketball, men and women's cross country, and softball while serving as the secondary for women's volleyball, women's lacrosse, women's soccer, and men's basketball. Llamas also completed a master's in communication from Regis in 2024.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin in 2020, Llamas worked as a media relations intern from 2019-2022 in the athletic communications office. During her time at UT, Llamas assisted with communication duties for softball and women's soccer, including working at the WCWS with Texas in 2022.
