2016-17 (Redshirt Senior)
Played in six events for WKU and appeared on the five-man card in four tournaments... Opened his season by leading the Hilltoppers in a tie for 13th at the Memphis Intercollegiate, his best result since the 2012-13 campaign... Fired a season-low 71 in Memphis.
2015-16 (Redshirt Junior):
Appeared in three tournaments for WKU as an individual... Made first appearance of the season in WKU's Kenny Perry Invitational, notching a 22-over 238 to finish tied for 51st... Best result of season came at the Cape Fear Intercollegiate, where he tied for 38th with a 14-over 230 while competing as an individual.
2014-15 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Completed redshirt year and did not compete.
2013-14 (Sophomore):
Thompson participated in four events for the Tops as a sophomore, tallying a top-50 finish at the Cardinal Intercollegiate where he shot his low round of the year and lowest three-round score of the year, a 227 with a third round 70. Thompson averaged 78.33 strokes per round over 12 rounds on the campaign.
2012-13 (Freshman):
Thompson took part in three events as a freshman and shot his low round of 72 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational where he finished in ninth place. Thompson also took part in the North Ranch Intercollegiate and the ULM Wallace Jones Invitational, scratching in at 58th and 56th respectively.
Miscellaneous: Majoring in mechanical engineering.
