WKU's 2014-15 Female Athlete-of-the-Year Miranda Kramer returns to The Hill as a student assistant after leading WKU softball to a Conference USA championship and a 36-14 overall record in 2015.
After spending her first three seasons at IPFW, Kramer transferred to WKU and finished her collegiate career in style in 2015 as the pitcher became WKU's first-ever NFCA First-Team All-American after producing a 26-10 overall record on the mound. Kramer led the nation with 439 strikeouts and ranked sixth with a 1.24 ERA in 243.1 innings pitched. For her efforts, Kramer was named both Conference USA's Pitcher and Newcomer of the year. Kramer was also named a Top-26 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year honors. She finished her storied career with an 84-35 overall record, a 1.68 ERA, 38 shutouts, 451 hits, 216 runs, 185 runs earned, 254 walks and seven saves in 771.1 innings pitched. She ranked 39th in NCAA history with 1,204 career strikeouts and second in WKU history with a .722 winning percentage and a 1.24 ERA.
Kramer was the first-ever WKU player to be drafted in the National Pro Softball Draft, going sixth to the Pennsylvania Rebellion.
