Mallorie Sulaski enters her first season as a graduate assistant for the WKU softball team after four years as a Lady Topper.
Sulaski played many roles during her career, including first base, pitching and batting. Overall, the Colorado native finished her playing time with a .272 batting average with 142 hits, 66 runs and 64 RBI while accumulating a 36-36 record in the circle on 478.2 innings pitched. The lefty struck out 261 batters in 100 appearances, including 72 starts.
As a Senior (2013): Named to SBC All-Tournament Team and Bank of Hawai'i Invitational All-Tournament...Appeared in 51 games with 50 starts, including 21 starts in the circle...Hit .231 with 21 hits, 19 runs, 14 RBI, five doubles, two triples and two home runs...In the circle, posted a 13-9 record with a 2.35 ERA...Allowed 103 hits, 56 runs, 42 earned runs and 59 walks while striking out 67 in 125.1 innings pitched...Ranked in the SBC top 10 for ERA (5), opposing batting average (6), wins (7), fewest hits allowed (7), fewest runs allowed (6), fewest earned runs allowed (5), fewest doubles allowed (7), fewest triples allowed (6) and fewest home runs allowed (2)...Opened season with a hit, RBI and two runs against Murray State (2/15)...Had five-game hit streak from Dayton win (2/24) through Campbell contest (3/3)...Had two hits against Bowling Green State (3/6)...Posted first home run of the season against North Texas (3/23) along with two runs and two RBI...Went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs in win over Samford (4/10)...Recorded a hit in first four games of SBC Tournament (5/8-11)...Notched hit and run in NCAA Regional Championship game against Alabama (5/19)...Threw 12 complete games in 2013...Earned first win against Lipscomb (2/16) after allowing no earned runs and two hits...Allowed one earned run in nine hits in win over Eastern Kentucky (3/13) and shutout Florida Atlantic (3/16) with four hits on way to SBC Pitcher of the Week honors...Earned run-ruled win with shutout of Samford (4/10)...Held Troy (4/20) and FIU (4/27) scoreless in league away games...Helped secure SBC regular-season championship with shutout of Middle Tennessee (5/3)...Gave WKU its second win at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional after holding USC Upstate (5/18) to two hits and no runs.
As a Junior (2012):Â Started 49 of 50 games played ... Had two RBI apiece in games against Winthrop and South Carolina on Feb. 11 ... Went 2-for-3 at the plate in WKU's 3-2 win over Georgia State on March 2 ... Had two hits and two RBI in WKU's 5-1 win against Providence on March 9 ... Earned first win of the season in the circle on March 18 against South Alabama, going 6.1 innings and striking out five batters while allowing three runs ... Allowed one run in six innings against Samford on March 27, striking out four ... Recorded season-high seven strikeouts against #6 Louisiana-Lafayette on April 28, allowing two runs on six hits in seven innings ... Allowed one run in six innings at Middle Tennessee on May 5, striking out three in 10-1 win ... Pitched season-high eight innings against South Alabama on May 11 in Sun Belt Tournament, allowing four runs on seven hits; Also had two-RBI single in that game.
As a Sophomore (2011):Â Appeared in 57 games starting in 56 with 30 appearances pitching...Sulaski finished with a .255 batting average tallying 17 runs off 38 hits with 13 RBIs...She was second on the team in doubles with 12, while adding two triples and two home runs...Sulaski tallied eight multiple hit games with the longest hitting streak on the team at 11 games...She led the team in putouts with 218 and 82 assists for a .971 fielding percentage...Sulaski was named to the pre-season All-Sun Belt Conference team...She led the pitching staff with a 2.52 ERA finishing with a record of 13-12, pitching 172.1 innings...She tallied 80 strikeouts and earned one save...Sulaski opened the second game of the season against Seattle with her first-career no-hitter striking out four in the process.
As a Freshman (2010):Â Second Team All-Sun Belt Conference ...
