2022 (r-Sr.) | 13/7: Hunter appeared in 13 of WKU's 14 contests during the 2022 campaign while making seven starts along the way. Hunter closed the season with 41 total tackles, including 4.0 for loss and 1.5 sacks. Hunter had a big performance in WKU's win over UAB, making a season-high six tackles. Of those six tackles, 1.5 were for loss and one was an eight-yard sack. In five of his 13 appearances, Hunter made four tackles, including his performance in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl which helped the Hilltoppers defeat South Alabama by a score of 44-23.
2021 (r-Jr.) | 13/10: Hunter appeared in 13 of WKU's 14 games in 2021, with 13 of his appearances coming as a starter. Hunter finished third on the team in tackles with 66, four of which were for loss. He played a huge role in WKU's success creating turnovers by recovering two fumbles and intercepting a pass. Hunter hit double digit tackles twice on the year, once at Army (10) and also in WKU's win over rival Middle Tennessee (11). His interception also came against the Blue Raiders.
2020 (r-Jr.) | 12/0: Hunter made the move to defensive end and played in all 12 games on the season. Had 15 total tackles (10 solo, five assisted) and at least one in 10-of-12 contests, including a career-high three on Oct. 10 vs. Marshall. Also posted 2.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry. He will retain his redshirt junior year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (r-So.) | 13/1: Hunter appeared in all 13 games for the Hilltoppers as a linebacker, including a start vs. UAB. He made 11 tackles and added a 10-yard sack on Nov. 9 at Arkansas.
Before WKU: Hunter went to Georgia, where he appeared in four games in two seasons.
HS/Misc.: Hunter played for head coach Kareem Reid at Westlake HS, where he helped lead the team to the semifinals of the GHSA Class 7A playoffs as a senior and to the quarterfinals as a junior. He was 2016 Atlanta Journal-Constitution All-State Class 7A Defense and City/South Fulton All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year. Hunter earned 2016 Georgia Sports Writers Association All-State Class 7A Second Team Defense and Touchdown Club of Atlanta Metro Atlanta All-Star Team. He was a PrepStar Magazine four-star prospect, No. 88 player nationally and Top 150 Dream Team. Hunter was an ESPN four-star prospect, No. 168 player nationally, No. 11 outside linebacker nationally and No. 20 player in the state of Georgia. He was a 247Sports four-star prospect, No. 238 player nationally, No. 15 outside linebacker nationally and No. 18 player in the state of Georgia. Hunter was a Rivals four-star prospect, No. 46 player nationally, No. 3 outside linebacker nationally and No. 6 player in the state of Georgia. He was a Scout.com four-star prospect, No. 198 player nationally, No. 13 outside linebacker nationally, and DawgPost No. 15 player in the state of Georgia. Hunter earned the Paul & June Martin Football Scholarship. His father, the late Brice Hunter, was an All-SEC wide receiver and team captain for Georgia, who still holds the school record for most catches in a season (76) set in 1993. Hunter’s mother, Brandi Decker, played basketball for Georgia and was a member of two Final Four teams.
