Brian Ditmer serves as the program's Head Equipment Manager, a post he assumed prior to the 2015 season, where he oversees all equipment operations for the team including uniforms, helmets, pads, all apparel and sideline equipment functions.
Prior to the 2016 season, Ditmer helped lead a re-design of WKU's uniforms in conjunction with WKU's apparel provider, Russell Athletic. He has also helped lead WKU across brands through the transition from Russell Athletic to all Nike in 2017. Ditmer spent one year as the assistant equipment manager for the Hilltoppers after two seasons as a graduate assistant in the same area.
Prior to becoming a graduate assistant, Ditmer served as a student manager from 2007 to 2012. In his role, he works with the equipment manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the football equipment room and direct student managers during games and practices. Additionally, he was tasked with the repairing, maintaining and issuing of equipment to all student-athletes, coaches and staff.
Ditmer is a member of the American Equipment Managers Association and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Marketing from WKU with a minor in Marketing in 2012 as well as his Masters degree in Sport Media and Branding in 2014.
