BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Football offensive lineman Laurence Seymore has been named an All-America Second Team offensive lineman by the Football Writers Association of America, the FWAA announced Thursday.
Seymore started all 12 games for WKU at left guard and was recognized as one of the top offensive linemen in Conference USA throughout the fall. Seymore was named All-CUSA Second Team Offense, and was twice named CUSA Offensive Lineman of the Week. He was one of only three players to receive the weekly recognition multiple times during the season, with teammate Marshall Jackson being one of the others.
The Miami Gardens, Florida, native helped the Hilltoppers to the second-best scoring offense in CUSA during the regular season at 29.75 points per game. Seymore has helped the Hilltopper offense become one of the top passing offenses in the league with his 90.2 pass blocking grade, which was the best mark among guards in CUSA during the regular season and ranked seventh-best in the nation among the position group. He did not allow a sack during the regular season.
Seymore is the second Hilltopper this season to be named to one of the All-America teams that comprise the NCAA's annual consensus team, along with teammate Cole Maynard, who received Walter Camp All-America Second Team, Associated Press All-America First Team and American Football Coaches Association All-America First Team recognition. Before this season, the Hilltoppers hadn't had a player named to one of the All-America teams that comprise the NCAA's annual consensus team since wide receiver Jerreth Sterns was named Associated Press and Football Writers Association of America All-America Second Team in 2021.
Seymore is the second player in program history to receive FWAA All-America recognition, along with Sterns.
WKU went 8-4 during the 2025 regular season and will face Southern Miss in the 2025 New Orleans Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Caesars Superdome. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. CT and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN. To purchase tickets click HERE, and to donate tickets click HERE.
