2023 CUSA Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 2)
WKU Career | 52/2: Washington appeared in 52 games with two starts during his six-year WKU career. He recorded 35 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, three passes defended, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery during that time.
2023 (r-Sr.) | 6/2: Washington appeared in six games with two starts in his sixth and final season with WKU. The linebacker recorded 16 tackles, with one for loss, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, had one interception, and recorded two pass breakups. He made the first start of his career during the Sept. 28 win over Middle Tennessee, posting a career-high seven tackles, a fumble recovery, an interception, and two pass breakups. He was named Conference USA's Defensive Player of the Week following the performance.
2022 (r-Jr.) | 13/0: Washington played in 13 of WKU's 14 games on the season, mainly in a special teams role. He made 12 tackles on the season, including a four-tackle performance in WKU's 73-0 win over FIU.
2021 (r-So.) | 8/0: Washington appeared in eight games on the season while primarily playing on special teams, recording two tackles on the year.
2020 (r-So.) | 8/0: Washington played in eight games for the Hilltoppers. He was as a key member of multiple special teams units and saw some snaps on defense, making two tackles on the campaign. He will retain his redshirt sophomore year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019 (r-Fr.) | 13/0: Washington appeared in all 13 games for the Hilltoppers, primarily on special teams coverage units. He had two assisted tackles on the season.
2018 (Fr.) | 4/0: Washington appeared in four games and redshirted his first season on The Hill. He recorded an assisted tackle on Nov. 24 at Louisiana Tech. Washington converted from defensive back to linebacker in the spring of 2019.
HS/Misc.: Washington was a two-way star at Pleasure Ridge Park, playing both running back and defensive back, alongside fellow freshman Beanie Bishop. He helped his team to a second round showing in the KHSAA 6A playoffs and a 7-5 record overall as a senior.
