2024 (Sr.) | 12/12: Johnson started all 12 regular-season games at cornerback before being sidelined for postseason games due to injury. He finished the year with 49 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, eight pass breakups and a quarterback hurry. Johnson's eight pass breakups were twice as many as the second-highest mark on the team, and he ranked fifth in Conference USA in passes defended during the entire season and second in CUSA games. Johnson was a member of the 2024 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Preseason Watch List and received 2024 Phil Steele Postseason CUSA All-Conference Second Team Defense honors following the season.
2023 (Jr.) | 10/9: Johnson appeared in 10 games with nine starts at cornerback during his first season on The Hill. He recorded 44 total tackles – fifth-most on the team – with one tackle for loss, a fumble recovery, four interceptions, five pass breakups and one blocked kick. Johnson had a season-high eight tackles and a crucial interception in WKU's 38-35 overtime victory against Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl on the way to being named the game's Defensive MVP. Johnson's four interceptions on the season led WKU and his 0.4 interceptions per game led Conference USA – WKU's 26 turnovers gained led CUSA and were tied for seventh nationally – while his 0.9 passes defended per game ranked fourth in the league. Johnson received CUSA All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.
Before WKU: Johnson spent two seasons at West Florida before transferring to The Hill. Appeared in 21 games, recording 69 tackles, 15 pass break-ups, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
HS/Misc.: Johnson prepped at Miami Norland Senior High School for Coach Daryl Heidelburg. He led the team to six victories during his senior season with the Vikings. He was a two-way player at Norland as he starred at both wide receiver and cornerback as well as returning punts and kickoffs. He was rated by 247Sports as a three-star prospect and the 147th best player in the state of Florida. Johnson held Division I offers from South Carolina and Florida Atlantic.
