Conner Boyd joined the WKU baseball staff in the summer of 2019 as a volunteer assistant coach after spending the previous season as a student assistant coach.

Boyd began his Hilltopper career as a student-athlete, playing for WKU in 2017 and 2018 after transferring from Motlow State CC.

The Smyrna, Tenn., native led the team in appearances during both of his seasons on The Hill while seeing action in 52 games during his two years with the squad. He closed out his career with a 4.13 ERA, recording one win while striking out 49 batters in 56.2 innings of work. In his senior season, Boyd finished the year ranked second on the squad with a 1.13 WHIP and 2.38 ERA through 22.2 innings of action.

Boyd graduated from WKU in the spring of 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management.
