As a Junior (2023): Appeared in 40 games while starting 31 between first/third base, catcher, and designated player...ended her junior campaign slashing .202/.269/.277...recorded four runs...picked up career-high 19 hits including four doubles and hit first career home run against Akron on 3/5/23...hit .175/.254/.246 against C-USA teams...registered four RBIs in the second game against North Texas (3/25/23)...earned three multi-hit and multi-RBI games...drew nine walks and hit four sacrifices over the season...went 2-for-3 against North Texas [2] (2/25/23) hitting .333...recorded single-game highest 17 putouts in the season against Austin Peay (3/5/23)...worked with a .989 fielding percentage...collected 160 putouts and 26 assists.
As a Sophomore (2022): Appeared in 16 games while starting one…Saw action in the outfield, at catcher and as a pinch hitter…Slashed .188/.278/.188…Recorded three hits…Scored two runs…Drew two walks…Registered two putouts for a 1.000 fielding percentage…Recorded two hits and two runs scored in C-USA only outings along with two walks for a .571 on-base percentage.
As a Freshman 2021 (at Lipscomb): Appeared in five games for Lipscomb, starting three behind the plate along with a pinch hit and defensive substitution...Threw out 1-of-3 runners attempting to steal...Scored a run in her collegiate debut against Butler on Feb. 20, 2021...Logged a .938 fielding percentage with 14 putouts and an assist across the season.
High School: During her high school days, Bush collected numerous awards across the diamond and hardwood. She was tabbed a 2015 USSSA All-American for the Great Lakes Region as well as earning All-Region honors twice and an All-District nod. Bush lettered in both softball and basketball and was a Kentucky High School Athletic Association Academic All-State First Team selection in both from 2017-19 in both sports.
Personal: Jessica is the daughter of Rod and Haley Bush and has one brother, Dylan.
