TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – WKU track and field wrapped its third weekend of outdoor competition at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State at the Gibson Track and Field Complex. A second-place finish by Parker Smith in the men's 800-meter run highlighted the meet for the Hilltoppers.

Smith took second in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:52.67. A total of five other Hilltoppers finished just shy of the podium on the men's side, with Ricardo Smith, Jonathan Hunter, Hunter Coslow, LeAndre Bolen and Devon Rogers all recording fourth-place marks at the meet.
Ricardo Smith clocked a 14.43 for a fourth-place finish in the men's 110m hurdles, Hunter finished fourth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.54m, Coslow finished fourth in the men's shot put with a mark of 15.79m and Bolen finished fourth in the men's discus with a mark of 47.52m. Rogers rounded out the bunch with a fourth-place finish in the men's javelin, posting a mark of 56.89m.
On the women's side, Cate Rossomanno's fourth-place performance in the 1500 meters highlighted the Tops' effort. Rossomanno posted a 4:41.89 finish, with freshman teammate Brooke Greenwell following in sixth place with a time of 4:42.75.Â
Gianna Huerta added a sixth-place finish for WKU with a time of 1:02.86 in the women's 400m hurdles.

CENTRE TWILIGHTÂ
Six Hilltoppers traveled to compete at the Centre Twilight open meet hosted by Centre College over the weekend, with five of six finishing on the podium at the unscored event including a sweep in the men's pole vault collegiate. Sam Crenshaw led the effort for WKU in the pole vault, clearing 5.10m for a first-place finish in the event.Â
Jackson Gray followed with a mark of 4.95m good for a second-place finish, while Jackson Tweed recorded a third-place finish at 4.65m. Caleb Joyce added a tie for fourth with a height of 4.35m.
Carolina Bannach highlighted the Tops' performance on the women's side, clearing 3.78m for a first-place finish in the women's poll vault collegiate. Ella Cleveland followed with a mark of 3.53m to earn a third-place finish in the event.

BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
A pair of Hilltoppers recorded finishes at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University in California over the weekend, with Kinley Kunkel's fourth-place effort in the women's 10k run invite highlighting the event for WKU. Kunkel's time of 33:37.38 marked a new outdoor school record in the women's 10k.
Wade Balcom competed in a deep field in the men's 800 meters invite and finished with a time of 1:50.93.
