ABOUT THE TOPS
- The Hilltoppers enter the weekend with a 19-18 record and 6-9 mark in league play.
- WKU dropped a midweek game at Louisville on Tuesday night, 7-3.
- Austin Haller led the offensive effort, finishing 2-for-5.
- Haller now has 13 multi-hit games in 2026 and five in the last seven games.
- As a team WKU is currently hitting at a .275 clip with 226 runs on 336 hits with 202 of those runs being RBIs.
- Lane Arroyos is the current offensive leader with a slash line of .343/.453/.612 with 46 hits and 38 RBIs.
- Arroyos currently has 16 doubles which is second in CUSA and No. 11 in the country. Arroyos is averaging nearly one double every two games which ranks in the top 15.
- Two more Hilltoppers in Haller (.325) and Camden Ross (.304) are batting at least .300 at this point in the season.
- Ross had a team best 33 runs scored with 35 hits on the year.
- The Hilltopper offense had notched 81 doubles this season, which leads CUSA and is No. 18 in the nation.
- The WKU pitching staff holds a 5.23 ERA, allowing 188 earned runs on 340 hits with 327 strikeouts.
- The Hilltoppers post a 2.46 strikeout to walk ratio which is second in the league and No. 40 in NCAA DI this season.
SERIES HISTORY
- Friday's meeting will mark just the third time the Hilltoppers and Bears have taken to the field against each other.
- The series as it stands now is a 1-1 split. The lone meetings between the two programs took place on March 11-12, 1986, in a neutral site matchup in Jacksonville, Florida.
- The Hilltoppers won the first ever meeting in a 15-0 decision but dropped a 6-5 contest to the Bears the following day.
- At the time in 1986, Missouri State was known as Southwest Missouri State and held that name until 2005 when the name was changed to its current day name.
- The Bears play their home games at Hammons Field and have done so since the natural grass ballpark opened in 2004.
- The park has been shared with the Springfield Cardinals, the AA-Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, since the 2005 season.

- Ross Felder is the team leader in ERA with a 2.95 average and leads the team in strikeouts with 37.
