- The Hilltoppers enter conference play with a record of 9-8, lastly taking 2-of-3 against Indiana State last weekend.
- Offensively WKU boasts a .266 batting average with 13 home runs and 23 stolen bases.
- WKU is led by Lane Arroyos who is hitting .365 with 19 RBIs on 23 hits in 63 plate appearances.
- Arroyos leads WKU with seven doubles which is the second most in the league and the 14th most in NCAA DI this season.
- Camden Ross is the other Hilltopper hitting above a .300 average heading into conference play. Ross posts a slash line of .309/.473/.491 and has driven in 16 RBIs on 17 hits this season.
- JP Acosta has four sacrifice bunts this season which leads CUSA and is 10th nationally.
- Reid Howard leads the team in stolen bases with 10 on 12 attempts.
- Howard is currently the league leader and No. 32 nationally.
- On the mound the Hilltoppers hold a 5.47 ERA with 157 strikeouts in 153 innings.
- Gavin Perry posts a 4.15 ERA with eight earned runs on 18 hits allowed with 17 strikeouts.
- Aaron Robertson holds a 1.69 ERA with 14 strikeouts, three earned runs, and no walks in 16.0 innings pitched this season.
- Zach Lyles has three saves in seven appearances this season. Lyles posts a 1.86 ERA, allowing just two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts.
- His three saves this season are tied for the most in Conference USA.

- The two programs enter the weekend series having squared off a total of 89 times, including 37 times in Bowling Green.

- Offensively FIU is led by Samuel Fischer who posts a .322 average with 10 RBIs on 19 hits. Vicente Feliciano leads the Panthers with six home runs on the year which is tied for second in CUSA.
- On the mound, FIU holds a 7.59 ERA, allowing 155 runs on 185 total hits. The staff posts 154 strikeouts and 111 walks in 18 games this season.
- Individually, FIU is led by George Adams who has a 5.06 ERA, allowing nine runs on 15 hits with a team-high 20 strikeouts and eight walks in 16.0 innings pitched.
- FIU was picked eighth in the CUSA Preseason Coaches Poll. Two Panthers were named to the Preseason Team in Cole Cleveland and Andrew Ildefanso.
