QUOTABLES
- "Give a lot of credit to SEMO. They played a really good match. We knew they were going to be good coming in here. I'm going to be shocked if they don't win their conference this year with as deep as they are and the level of intensity they're able to play at throughout the whole match. The doubles point was crucial today like we knew it would be coming in. Give them credit because they came in and outplayed us in doubles. Rather than us being up 1-0 after doubles and having momentum after all those first sets, we were trying to crawl back into it the whole time. I give the team credit – we fought and fought to the end. We got back, we made a match of it and we just couldn't quite get over the hump and get that push at the end to get across the finish line. Tomorrow's another tough match against a really good Belmont team that, again, is deep just like SEMO was today. We've learned a lot from this match today and hopefully it'll show tomorrow against Belmont." – WKU Women's Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis, on the loss to SEMO on Friday.
NEXT UP
- The Lady Toppers return to action on Saturday, Feb. 28, to take on Belmont at 2 p.m. CT at the Warren County Tennis Facility at Michael O. Buchanon Park.
