The Tops scored two goals on 11 shots compared to the Bisons' three goals on 10 shots. Amanda Simpson led the team with one goal on two shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lipscomb took the early lead with a goal in the 19th minute. WKU responded with back-to-back goals from Amanda Simpson and Alyvia Walls, taking a 2-1 lead at the 29 minute mark. Lipscomb would even the score in the 42nd minute.Â
In the half, WKU managed nine shots compared to Lipscomb's five shots. Maddie Davis had one save in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, Lipscomb scored the go-ahead goal in the 53rd minute. WKU managed two shots in the period.
NOTABLES
- Amanda Simpson led the team with one goal on two shots. Her goal came in the 28th minute and was assisted by Georgia Liapis
- Alyvia Walls scored the other goal for WKU unassisted in the 29th minute.
