ABOUT THE TOPS
- WKU's match against Ohio will officially open the 25th season of Hilltopper Soccer and is the first of two road matches to start the year. WKU will also play Rio Grande (Ohio) on Saturday, Aug. 16 before hosting Jackson State on Thursday, Aug. 21.
- WKU finished the 2024 season with a record of 3-8-5 and a 1-3-5 mark in league play.
- WKU's five draws in 2024 is tied for the second most in program history (2013, 2015, 2021).
- WKU is returning 15 from the 2024 season highlighted by 2024 CUSA Goalkeeper of the Year Maddie Davis.
- Abby Wiedermann was named to the league's All-Freshman team in 2024.
- The Hilltoppers added 11 newcomers to the roster in 2025. A freshman class that consists of eight and three transfers in Danielle Lewin, Torrie Grant-Clavijo, and Mia Riddick.

- WKU is 0-1 all-time against Ohio, dropping a 1-2 decision on Sept. 12, 2024 in Bowling Green.
- This will mark the first time the two square off in Athens.
