BOWLING GREEN, KY. -- Following their second-straight CUSA series win, WKU Softball earned another win on Monday with Erica Houge earning Freshman of the Week for the first time this season.
Houge led the Hilltoppers to a 2-1 series finish over Kennesaw State with a 0.00 ERA through 7.2 innings pitched. Across her three total appearances, the freshman only gave up four hits and one walk while registering five strikeouts. She also pitched a perfect inning against Lipscomb on Tuesday including one strikeout.
With her save on Saturday, Houge widened her conference lead in saves to four.
WKU Softball continues their conference campaign with a road trip to Murfreesboro, Tenn to take on Middle Tennessee. First pitch is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
