DALLAS – Junior Dawson Hall was named the Conference USA Pitcher of the Week, as announced by league officials Monday afternoon.
Hall, a native of Bowling Green, Ky., helped lead the Tops to an 11-0 run-rule shutout over #17 Dallas Baptist in a series-clinching win on Saturday at Horner Ballpark. The right-hander registered two strikeouts in 6.0 scoreless innings while only giving up six hits and no walks on his way to his fifth win of the season. He showed his efficiency as 56 of his 71 pitches went for strikes.
The junior has appeared 10 times with two starts in 2025 and has allowed just two earned runs to score in 22.0 innings of work with 15 strikeouts. He holds a perfect 5-0 record with a 0.82 ERA.
This marks the third weekly honor and the second CUSA Pitcher of the Week award of the season for WKU. Junior Jack Bennett was recognized earlier this year for his performance against Central Michigan in a 2-0 win over the Chippewas.
Hall and the Hilltoppers return home tomorrow, April 8 for a midweek contest with Southern Indiana at Nick Denes Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.
