BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Soccer has announced the signing of two additional student-athletes to the 2025 roster. Matea Bradfield and Kendall Mix will join the Hilltoppers in the fall.
"We are excited to welcome Matea Bradfield and Kendall Mix to the Hilltopper Soccer family," said head coach Jason Neidell. "Both are great players and people, and we feel fortunate that they were available and interested this late in the recruiting cycle."
Matea Bradfield
Evansville, Indiana | F.J. Reitz High School | Forward | 5'6"
Bradfield comes to The Hill following a highly decorated high school career at Reitz High School. She played in over 70 games, scored over 100 goals and had over 50 assists. She led her team to a sectional championship and a regional semifinal and helped the team win the Hoosier Cup and Panther Invitational.
Bradfield holds Reitz' all-time scoring record and broke the all-time points record as well. In 2024, she was named the conference player of the year and was selected to the all-district first team, all-city first team and all-conference first team. In 2023, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team and the Indiana All-State Team. She was also selected to the ICGSA first team, all-district first team, all-conference first team, all-metro first team, and academic all-city and all-state.
At the club level, Bradfield played with the Indy Eleven Spirit and the Indiana Fire Junior South.
Neidell on Bradfield:
"Matea is an athletic and technical attacking player who is versatile enough to play most positions on the field. She can score goals in a variety of ways and will add another dynamic to our attack this fall."
Kendall Mix
Viera, Florida | Viera High School | Goalkeeper | 5'8"
Mix played four seasons at Viera High School on the varsity squad and was the starting goalkeeper for three seasons. She led her team to a Cape Coast conference championship, three district championships, two regional championships and two final four appearances in the state championship. She is a two-time All-Cape Coast Conference first teamer and played in the FACA All-Star Game her senior season. Over her high school career, Mix had a 0.645 goals against average and had over 250 saves.
Mix also played with the Florida Kraze Krush for three seasons at the club level.
Neidll on Mix:
"Kendall is a smart and coachable goalkeeper who will help elevate the chemistry and competition within our goalkeeper unit. She will provide immediate depth and competitiveness in our goalkeeper position."
