QUOTABLES
- "We played well today, I thought, in both doubles and singles, which is what we need. One of our goals at the beginning of the season is to have a winning record every single month, so the first two months we've been able to do that. Today solidified that. The new month starts on Sunday. Whenever you've got a conference team like Jacksonville State coming in, that's a big match, and it's not just a big match, but it's a big match for seeding purposes when you get to the conference tournament. We know that. We're well aware of it. We're well aware of them being a talented team. We know it's going to take a great effort on Sunday against Jacksonville State and Southern Indiana – a very improved team. We hope to bring out a lot of people in the tennis community and that other people come out for the first time on Sunday." – WKU Women's Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis, on the win over Eastern Illinois and the upcoming schedule.
- "I would say that we lost on Wednesday and it was a tough loss, but today we had a very good win. On each court we played really well and we didn't give the opponents a chance to take over us. It is going to set a good boost for the Sunday matches." – WKU Women's Tennis graduate student Sunskrithi Damera, on the win over Eastern Illinois on Friday.
- "I feel like it's important for us to have a good match today so we can have hopefully a successful weekend, and on Sunday especially because we have two matches. I feel like everyone came out, bounced back strong and focused on what we could control." – WKU Women's Tennis sophomore Mia Miranda, on bouncing back against Eastern Illinois on Friday after falling to Samford on Wednesday.
