ABOUT THE TOPSÂ
- At their last meet, the UAB Green and Gold Invite on Feb. 8, 13 Hilltoppers finished with a new personal best after all the events of the day were tallied.
- For the third time this season, Sam Crenshaw took first place in the men's pole vault followed up by Jackson Tweed who set a PR with a 4.40 meter jump. Crenshaw now holds the No. 1 and No. 2 marks in program history following his performance over the weekend.
- In the distance ranks, seven Hilltoppers set personal bests highlighted by Kinley Kunkel's first place finish in the women's 3000. A new PR of 10:09.
- In the men's mile a pair of freshmen, Tyler Pfefferkorn and Parker Smith set new personal bests. Pfefferkorn finished in 4:25 while Smith wrapped up in 4:27.
- Kunkel's performance earned her CUSA Female Track Athlete of the Week honors. Kunkel is the first for WKU since Savannah Heckman in 2022.
- Kameron Horton notched a third place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. He also added a fourth place finish in the 60-meter dash final. His performance was put on notice as he was named CUSA Male Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.
- With Horton and Kunkel's honors, WKU has now received four athlete of the week honors this indoor season, marking the most since 2016.Â
QUOTABLE
On the upcoming meet, interim head coach Lee Wood said "Excited to see the athletes compete before we head to conference in a couple weeks. There should be some good competition that we will face that will help us race some fast times!"

EVENT BREAKDOWN
- Track action Friday will get underway at 11 a.m. with the women's and men's 5000-meter races. (All times CST)
- For field events, action will get underway at 10 a.m. with the women's weight throw and men's high jump.
- The women's high jump will mark the final field event of the day, slated to get underway at 2:30 p.m.
- The final event of the single day meet, the 4x400 relays, will commence at 4:10 with the women's race followed by the men.

MEET HISTORY
- WKU is no stranger to the Birmingham Crossplex. Prior to 2024 the CUSA Indoor Championships were held at the venue.
- The Bulldog Invite has been around for the past five years, previously known as the Samford Invite.
- WKU last competed in the Bulldog Invite in 2022. That season, WKU saw 13 personal bests set at the meet.
