HOW IT HAPPENED
WKU's first corner of the match came 14 minutes in, and a scrum inside the box resulted in a shot from Georgia Liapis that was off target. The next 15 minutes were all about possession as neither team managed to get a shot off.Â
Late in the 30th minute, Missouri State earned their second corner of the evening and managed a shot that was corralled by Maddie Davis for her second save of the match. Then in the 33rd minute, the Bears knocked one in as it bounced off the crossbar and over the line to take the lead.

In the 62nd minute, Davis picked up her fourth save of the match. Alyvia Walls found an opportunity to cut into the lead but the shot ended up in the hands of the Missouri State keeper. Just a minute later, Davis secured her fifth save with a deflection.
