- Kayla Meyer leads WKU in goals scored on the season with five through eight games. The senior had two against Union and netted a goal each against Evansville, Arkansas State, and Ohio.
- Six total Hilltoppers have scored goals this season and seven have notched assists.
- Maddie Davis has played seven games in goal for WKU this season. She has two shutouts on the year. Her 10 career clean sheets are the sixth most in program history. Earlier this week, Davis earned her second career CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
- The Hilltoppers return 17 players from the 2023 season and welcomed two transfers and seven freshmen. Among the returners are 2023 starting goalkeeper Maddie Davis, second-leading scorer Kayla Meyer and defensive starters Aspen Seaich, Kendall Wade and Lily Rummo. Of WKU's 26 players, 14 are underclassmen.
- WKU was picked to finish third in the preseason Conference USA coaches poll. Liberty was picked first and New Mexico State was selected second. The Hilltoppers finished third in Conference USA last season with a 4-2-2 record in conference play. The Hilltoppers were 6-5-7 overall. The seven ties were a school and CUSA record.
SERIES INFORMATION
- WKU and New Mexico State have met only once in series history. The first meeting came last season in Bowling Green with the Aggies winning, 1-0.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
- New Mexico State dropped its first conference match of the season, falling to Sam Houston, 2-3. In non-conference play the Aggies had wins against New Mexico, Oregon, Texas A&M Commerce, Pacific, and Gonzaga.
- The Aggies' leading goal scorer is Loma McNeese who has four goals on the season. Nine different New Mexico State players have scored this season.
- Valerie Guha has started all 10 games in goal for the Aggies. She has a 1.50 goals against average on the season.
