HOW IT HAPPENED
New Mexico State got on the score board first with a goal in the 29th minute and then added to that lead in the 49th minute with their second goal.
WKU disrupted the shutout in the 73rd minute with a goal from Rebecca Roth.
NOTABLES
- Rebecca Roth scored her second goal of the season and the third of her career.
- WKU had seven shots in the match, including a team-leading two from Roth. Anna Isger, Olivia Cooke and Emrie Springs each had shots on goal.
- Maddie Davis finished the night with four saves in goal.
"This is an incredibly challenging league, especially on the road," said head coach Jason Neidel. "It was a huge bright spot to see our bench really impact the game, getting a goal back after going down 2-0 and giving us opportunities to equalize late. We will regroup for another tough road match on Sunday against UTEP."
