MOBILE, Ala. – Heading into the final round of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, Luke Fuller has led the way for the Tops so far.
Round two of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate has included for the Tops. Graduate student Luke Fuller has led the way for WKU, tying for 17th heading into the final round. Fuller had a strong start for WKU after bogeying on his first hole, meeting par on his next six holes before putting in his first birdie on the eighth. The Kentucky native shot a 1-under 70 today's round, including three birdies.
Tying for 46th for WKU are Connery Meyer and Gage Doyle. Meyer turned in a 4-over 75 second round for the Tops, including three birdies. Meyer had a strong closing for the red and white, putting in two of his three birdies on the final six holes. Doyle put in a birdie as well and finished the day with a 5-over 76 score following his career best round one.
Not too far behind Doyle and Meyer is junior Riley Grindstaff. Grindstaff is currently tied for 52nd heading into the final round for WKU. The WKU junior turned in a 6-over 77 second round for the Tops. He showed his consistency for the squad, meeting par on 12 out of 18 holes played.
Competing as an individual for the Tops, Stephen Warren is tied for 52nd as well. Warren had a strong second round for WKU, shaving two strokes off his score and turning in a 3-over 74 second round. Warren put in five birdies this round, including back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14.
Rounding out the day for the Tops was Nic Hofman who is currently tied for 74th. Hofman replicated his first round, turning in a 7-over 78 score. Hofman put in three birdies during this round and his current overall score for the tourney sits at 14-over 156.
The final round of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate is set for an 8:30 A.M. shotgun start.
