HOW IT HAPPENED
Liberty was on the attack early, getting two shots on goal in the first 10 minutes, but goalkeeper Maddie Davis made the save on both. WKU's best scoring chance came in the 25th minute when the Hilltoppers were awarded a free kick around the midfield line. Davis took the kick for WKU and launched a rocket of a shot towards the goal. The Liberty goalkeeper was able to jump and punch the ball out just below the crossbar.

"I thought our players did an excellent job of understanding and executing their individual roles and understanding our game plan as a team. We executed defensively very well tonight. I thought we were really disciplined in what we did."
